If We Could Dance Forever

4 December 2025 – 10 January 2026 Valerius Gallery, Luxembourg

If we could dance forever presents paintings of women in motion , dancing, flowing, radiating joy , set against hard-edged, vibrant backgrounds. Coppieters’ figures celebrate imperfect, human grace: bodies that defy traditional ideals, inspired by the women in her life and transformed into personal mythologies. Héliotrope

3 – 26 April 2025 DEMAIN Studios, Brussels

The title of this exhibition comes from the Greek hēlios (sun) and trepein (to turn).

In Héliotrope, Ethel Coppieters intertwines the ancient symbolism of light with the fluid, sensual lines of the female body. Her figures echo the Three Graces — standing side by side, brushing against one another — an ode to sisterhood. Solo exhibition at DEMAIN Studios, Brussels.

Sometimes I run

25 juin - 13 septembre 2025 Galerie Victor Lope, Bracelone

The title Sometimes I Run evokes the duality between the need to move forward, to pursue something, and the desire to pause, feel, reflect, and simply be. The exhibition invites us to slow down and take a sensitive look at women’s everyday experiences, their unspoken connections, and their freedom to be themselves.

Those who talk

April 2024 The platfom Gallery, Antwerp

The title Those Who Talk evokes conversations between women, the importance of speaking out, and the strength of the bonds they build with one another. These exchanges become spaces for sharing, listening, and connection, where each woman can express her thoughts, emotions, and experiences. The exhibition thus highlights the richness of these relationships.

Need for speed

11 janvier - 17 fevrier 2024 Valerius Gallery, Luxembourg

The exhibition Need for Speed explores movement as an expression of freedom, energy, and emancipation. Through female figures in action, Ethel Coppieters captures moments of speed and spontaneity, where bodies seem to be in constant motion, carried by their own momentum. The gestures, postures, and dynamic compositions convey a sense of fluidity and vitality, bringing the figures to life with a vivid and expressive presence. Movement thus becomes a way of inhabiting space, asserting oneself, and moving forward at one's own pace.

La piel que arde

June - July 2022 La Causa Galeria, Madrid

The title La piel que arde (“The Skin That Burns”) refers to the warmth of the female bodies, whose skin seems to be burned by the sun. The warm colours used by the artist evoke an intense light that envelops the bodies and gives them a vibrant presence. The skin becomes a place where heat is expressed, both visually and physically.
